does blowing on the end of an Original Nes game really work?
I still have my regular Nes System and a handful of games. I, like most people, believed in the "superstition" that blowing air at the open end of the Game Cartridge would make the game work better. As this sometimes does and sometimes does not work, is there any truth to this myth? What about it alters anything for the game?
Using the alcohol on the Q-tip trick works wonders. If you had one of those NES cleaning kits, putting alcohol on that and running that through always helped also, but if you don't have one of those, I guess that is irrelevent. As far as the blowing into it trick goes, it does work at times. What seems to work for me is putting the game under the bottom of my shirt, and blowing into it through my shirt, like using the shirt as a filter. I don't know why, but it works wonders. Give that a try.
